Afesis: The Four Steps

Afesis: The Four Steps

About the Game

Afesis: The Four Steps takes place in the present day, in a Spanish village where faith coexists with daily life.

We play as Dimas, who, after making a grave mistake, becomes trapped in various addictions that affect both his life and the lives of those around him. His story is not that of a hero, but of someone who has fallen… and still doesn't know if he will be able to get back up.

In his search for redemption, Dimas relies on God not as an immediate solution, but as a long and painful path toward repentance. As he tries to repair the damage done, the everyday begins to intertwine with the spiritual: demonic temptations, symbols, and presences will test his will.

Afesis is a narrative adventure focused on resource management. Manage your well-being while grappling with addictions and attempting to repair the damage you've caused. Face the challenges imposed by demonic entities and achieve redemption through understanding your mistakes in this adventure that reflects the true values of the Christian faith.

Features:

Time System: Explore the daily life of this family during the early morning, midday, afternoon, and evening. Attend (or ignore) events and explore the town of Valdejara.

Crafting: At Durán & Sons Hardware Store, there are many gadgets at your disposal, but your most valuable resource will always be your ingenuity. Craft as Dimas, collect payments from your customers (or swindle them), and fix locks like the handyman you are.

Mood, Stress, and Addiction Management: Juggling work, rest, and vices is something many can understand. As Dimas, you must delve into the complicated dependencies that make you who you want to be, or not.

Connections: Life in Valdejara is more enjoyable with company, but not everyone is good at or wants to socialise. Perhaps an alternative Dulcinea is waiting for you, a butcher with a big heart and a strong physique, or a kiosk owner with an interesting accent and a slightly wary demeanour, with whom you can spend the afternoon in the village.

The world of Afesis is both everyday and symbolic. Streets, houses, bars, and common spaces conceal a spiritual dimension where the sacred and the grotesque coexist. There are no perfect heroes or absolute villains, only people, temptations, and consequences.

"Faith is not a solution. It is a path." "To choose good, one must know it."
