A Game of Masks

A Game of Masks

About the Game

You are the secretary for the local political office. In reality, you work on whatever someone higher up realized needed to have been addressed yesterday. When you feel extra brave about risking whatever job this is that you have, you sometimes object that your job does not match what was written on paper (and it really is paper, they have not provided you with a computer).

Your latest task is ensuring the delivery of donated medications. But even more opaque than your job description, are the intentions of the characters you have to get involved with to get it done.

It seems like everyone has a figurative mask on.

Why does this government minister have so much confidence in assigning you this job? Why is this doctor not excited about this donation? And who is that walking towards you wearing a literal mask on his face and brass knuckles on his fists?

Featuring:

  • A total of 20 fleshed out with compelling backstory characters (if you include the pigeons) to have deep and existential conversations with.

  • Escape corruption in the real world by paying virtual bribes.

  • Minutes (to a generous hour) of puzzling gameplay that makes more sense than real life.

  • Retro style pixel art to give you nostalgia for the good old days when you just didn’t know any better.

  • (Don’t) Expend your energy for fighting the system by redirecting it on consuming anti-establishment media.
